Experiences
Discover the many adventurous activities you can enjoy here at Montana Mountains. There is always something to do: in every season, for young and old, and for beginners and advanced hikers.
WINTER ACTIVITIES

SKIING
Thanks to the elevation changes in the park, skiers of all levels can enjoy themselves on our slopes. The ski season begins with the first snowfall (usually mid-November) and generally lasts until mid-March.

TO CLIMB
Ice climbing is a relatively new activity in the park, but is already immensely popular. We offer various climbing facilities and a three-hour course for beginner climbers. All climbing equipment can be rented on site.

HELISKI
Conquer the most challenging mountains and slopes with our heli-ski package. With this package, you reach the furthest corners of our park and treat yourself to a truly unique skiing experience.
SUMMER ACTIVITIES

BIKE TOURS
Throughout the park, you will find hundreds of kilometers of paved and off-road routes. However, be prepared for strong winds and potentially slippery conditions when riding in higher elevations. Therefore, always wear protective clothing and a helmet.

HIKING
Bring your walking sticks, sturdy shoes, and plenty of energy-rich food, because once you discover the hiking trails in our park, you won't want to stop. There are routes for hikers of every level. All routes are clearly marked.

CAMPING
The park features over 180 camping sites. These are very popular – booking a spot in advance is therefore a must! Please note that not all camping sites have amenities such as running water and toilets. This applies particularly to the sites deeper within the park.

WILD ANIMALS
The wildlife in the park is immense. You are free to take photos, but please ensure you stay at a safe distance from the animals. Respect the animals you encounter – this is their home.

CANOE POINTS
Exploring by canoe is one of the most relaxed ways to enjoy the park. Glide across the water at a leisurely pace and admire the beautiful surroundings along the way. There are two rental locations for canoes and accompanying equipment.

HORSE RIDING
Horse riding has been part of our national park since its founding in 1900. Horses, donkeys, and llamas are permitted on designated routes and contribute to the special atmosphere of the park.
